Design & Development of Zarifis Consulting Ltd. New Web Site

London, 20 May 2008

One of our company's strengths is our Information Technology expertise and within this, our web technology proficiency.  Over the years we have designed and developed several Web Sites always exceeding our client's expectations.  At this week's meeting, the decision was taken to proceed with the design and development of our web site.  The project will take place over the next few weeks and it will be delivered over six main stages.

A simplified description of these stages can be found below.

  • Deciding on the purpose of the web site and the requirements it will have to satisfy.
  • Deciding on the structure of the web site.
  • Deciding on the technology it will be based on.
  • Collecting and designing the required visual material.
  • Securing space on the internet to host the web site.
  • Processing and developing the required visual material.
  • Developing the coding behind the web pages.
  • Preparing the text to be displayed.
  • Developing the required links to navigate between the various pages.
  • Introducing initial versions of text and visual material, to the web pages, to facilitate the testing process.
  • Thoroughly testing the web site, identifying inefficiencies, planning for improvements, implementing the improvements, and retesting.
  • Repeating the above procedure until it is apparent that the web site is functioning properly.
  • Completing and improving the required text sections.
  • Developing and introducing new visual material to differentiate between the different sections.
  • Evaluating the web site to identify areas for improvement on its functionality, the information it provides and the visual material used.

It is anticipated, that with the completion of stage 4 we will have a working model of the web site.  At the conclusion of stage 5 the site should satisfy the requirements set on stage 1 and be able to assume its role as our company's electronic presence on the web.  Stage 6 is designed to be an ongoing process and will be carried out throughout the lifetime of our web site.
